The Perigord black truffle (TUBER MELANOSPORUM), also known as the Norcia black truffle is certainly the most prized and aromatic black truffle characterized by an intense and full-bodied flavour. It has little to envy from the white truffle when it comes to aroma and flavour. Suitable for first courses, especially risotto. it can also be paired with meats, especially red meats or eggs.
To make the best use of it: Use part of your truffle to flavor the base of your dishes, whether they are first or second courses. This truffle should be treated like all black truffles, even if it is the most intense and tasty of all, it should not be cooked, it should simply be added to the base of your dish while it is still hot. Then a nice scratch on the plated dish.

The tour includes a guided truffle hunt with our dogs in the truffle farm and woods and a lunch (or dinner, depending on the start time) with the truffles found during the search and our truffle products.
It lasts approximately 3 hours (1.5/2 hours in our truffle farm and woods)

Yes, it is possible to organize private tours for couples or groups, even corporate and team building events.

Cancellations made up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time will be completely refunded.
Cancellations after the 24-hour cut-off are non-refundable.

In case of adverse weather conditions (including heavy rain), we will be forced to cancel or reschedule the tour.
If we are unable to postpone your tour date, we will offer a full refund, even after the 24-hour cut-off.

It is possible to arrive by train to the closest railway station (Solignano or Berceto). We can than provide a pick-up service at he price of €40 roundtrip (rate valid for up to 4 people)

Yes, our truffle hunting tours are suitable for families and children aged 2 and up.

Although we love dogs very much, unfortunately it is not possible to be accompanied by your dog during the truffle hunt: our dogs usually do not like it. However, we can give it a try before the truffle hunt to see if they get along.
