1. What types of truffles can I find on your e-commerce?

The truffle is an underground mushroom available according to the various harvesting seasons.

- Black Summer Truffle / Scorzone (Tuber Aestivum Vitt) - available online from mid-May to mid-September

- Black Fall Truffle (Tuber Uncinatum) - available online from mid-October to the end of December

- Black Winter Truffle (Tuber Melanosporum) - available online from mid-November to the end of January/February

- White Truffle (Tuber Magnatum Pico) from November to February (ON REQUEST).

Truffle products are available all year round.

2. How much truffle should I use per serving?

Typically, 10-15 grams of fresh truffle per person are enough to add truffle flavor and aroma to your dishes.

1. Is there a minimum order quantity?

No, there is no minimum order quantity for our products. You can purchase the quantity you like.

2. How are truffles shipped?

Our truffles are carefully packaged in polystyrene containers
and ice to ensure they stay cool throughout shipment. We ship via express courier to deliver your order in 24, maximum 48 hours.

3. Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we offer international shipping for fresh truffles to all EU countries with guaranteed delivery within 48 hours. For countries outside the EU delivery time can vary.

We ship our preserved truffle products worldwide, without limitations.

4. How long does it take to get my order?

Generally, orders are delivered within 1-3 business days from the order date.

However, we must differentiate between fresh and preserved products.

The fresh truffle is collected by us immediately after the order to make sure they get to you as fresh as possible. For this reason it may happen that delivery is delayed by a few days.

Preserved products are shipped the same day as the order.

5. Can I track my order?

Yes, once your order has been shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email to track the delivery status.

1. How should I store fresh truffles?

Fresh truffles must be stored in the refrigerator, wrapped in a paper towel, preferably not in an airtight container (this accelerates the appearance of mold due to condensation). Simply change the paper towel every day to maintain optimal freshness.

2. How long do fresh truffles last?

Although it is recommended to consume fresh truffles as soon as possible, they can last approximately 1-2 weeks if stored correctly. The longer you wait, the more they will lose the intensity of their aroma.

3. Can I freeze fresh truffles?

Yes, you can freeze fresh truffles, but they will lose most of their organoleptic properties. If necessary, we recommend melting some butter, mixing together some truffle slices/pieces, letting the compound cool and then freezing the product.

A valid alternative, if you intend to freeze fresh truffles, is to purchase our truffles blast chilled with the latest generation blast chiller, so that they do not lose their properties.

4. How should I prepare truffles before using them?

Gently brush away mud with a brush or soft cloth.
Avoid washing truffles with water as it can lower their flavor.
Slice or grate them directly onto your dishes. we suggest to heat summer truffles up, in order to make their flavor stronger.

5. How should I store truffle products?

All our truffle products have a shelf life of 48 months after opening.

Once opened, the truffle oil and salt must be stored in a cool and dark place, away from direct sunlight.

All other products should be stored in the refrigerator and covered in oil after us

1. What is your return policy?

Due to the perishable nature of fresh truffles, we do not accept returns. However, if there is a problem with your order or shipping, please contact us immediately and we will do our best to resolve it.

We ask you to check the condition of the fresh truffles immediately upon arrival, we give the possibility of complaint and consequent refund/replacement within 48 hours of delivery of the order.

The return of preserved products is possible with intact and closed packaging.

3. Do you offer gift options?

Yes, we offer gift baskets and personalized messages for special occasions. Select the gift option at checkout or contact us for more details.

1. How can I book a truffle hunting tour?

You can book a truffle hunting tour via our website by clicking on your desired date and time in the booking system.

We accept groups up to 12 people.

The price includes a tour (possibly) shared with other people.

For special requests, please contact us.

2. What is included in the truffle hunting tour?

The tour lasts approximately 3 hours and includes a guided truffle hunting with our dogs in our truffle plantation and in the woods nearby, and a lunch or dinner (depending on start time) with the collected truffles and our truffle products.

3. What should I wear for truffle hunting?

We recommend to wear comfortable outdoor clothing, long trousers and shoes suitable for walking in wooded areas.

4. Is truffle hunting suitable for children?

Yes, our truffle hunting tour is suitable for families and children up to 2 years.

5. Can I take my dog ​​truffle hunting?

Although we love dogs very much, unfortunately it is not possible to be accompanied by your dog during truffle hunting: our dogs don't like it. Upon request you could come earlier and we can check if your dog and our dogs get along.

6. How long does a truffle hunting tour last?

Our truffle hunting tour with lunch consists of a 1.5/2 hour walk in our truffle farm and nearby woods plus lunchtime. You can stay as long as you wish and even spend the night here in our B&B (you can book also directly the package "Truffle Hunting + B&B").

7. Do you offer private truffle hunting tours?

Yes, it is possible to organize private tours for couples or groups. Contact us for more details.

8. What is your cancellation policy for truffle hunting tours?

Cancellations made before 24 hours of the tour's scheduled start time will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour's scheduled start time are non-refundable.

9. What happens in case of bad weather?

In case of adverse weather conditions (even heavy rain), we will be forced to cancel or reschedule the tour.

If we are unable to postpone the tour date or you can't attend anymore, we will offer a full refund, even within 24 hours prior to the start time.

10. Can I give this experience as a gift to third parties?

We will send you a voucher in PDF format personalized with the name of your friend/partner. He/she can book the experience on a date of his/her choice from May to November.

11. Can we reach your company by public transport?

It is possible to arrive by train to the closest railway station (Solignano or Berceto), then we provide a pick-up service at a cost of €40 roundtrip.

12. What changes between Truffle Hunting Experience and Truffle Picnic?

The Truffle Picnic does not include the hunting part with our dogs, it is a picnic (Italian aperitif style) where you can taste our fresh truffles and truffle products in our truffle plantation sorrounded by nature. You can stay and admire our Apennines and relax as much as you want, even stargaizing if you like :)

1. How can I book a room at your B&B?

You can book directly from the website, selecting 1 or more nights on our booking system on the "B&B Il Tartufo" page.

You'll get a confirmation via Email in a few minutes.

Price includes accomodation with bathroom and breakfast for 2 people.

2. Do you also offer "B&B + Truffle Hunting" or "B&B + Truffle Picnic" packages?

3. Are dogs allowed at the B&B?

Of course, they are very welcome! We require a supplement of €10 per day to cover additional cleaning costs.

Please note that you will not be able to participate in the truffle hunting with our dogs. However, he can stay in the B&B room for as long as necessary.
